Pierce Synnott

Having lived in Cape Town for over 20 years, Pierce is a Sub-Saharan Africa expert. Recon expeditions through the remote Kalahari, sunrises over the NamibRand and sleeping under a dome of African stars are some of his favourite memories from the region. “For me, luxury is not just about comfort and cuisine, it’s about the experience and the people too – I look for the unique and the special in high-end travel.”

Pierce has a special connection with Zimbabwe because of the amazing people he has met there. “Working on local education and conservation projects in Zimbabwe have been some of the most rewarding of my career.”

With family ties in France and Argentina, Pierce has quite a few homes away from home. Pierce cannot wait to get back to exploring South America and Africa. The next adventure on his bucket list is visiting the mountain gorillas of Rwanda.
