For Iain, travel is all about the people he meets and the insights they share about their country’s authenticity. His passion for wildlife and the great outdoors has also greatly influenced his travels and led him to extraordinary destinations like Madagascar, Guyana and Antarctica.
A standout travel moment for Iain was gorilla trekking in Uganda. “After a challenging journey through rugged terrain, to then be rewarded with an encounter with a family of Eastern Highland Gorillas was a truly unforgettable experience.”
His background in competitive alpine skiing and overall love of the sport has taken him to captivating ski regions like Japan – “There is something just incredible about popping off the slopes and into a family-run Izakaya to slurp down a bowl of ramen that is unrivalled”.
While Iain’s bucket list constantly evolves, he has long dreamed of overland travel through Central Asia, exploring the “Stans”. For a closer-to-home adventure, Iain has his sights set on ski touring along the breathtaking fjords of Norway in the spring.
