Islamabad

Surrounded by Margalla Hills, Islamabad was purpose built in the 1960s to replace Karachi as the capital of Pakistan. The city is well-known for its high standard of living and bountiful greenery including the Margalla Hills National Park and Daman e Koh. A must see whilst on luxury holidays to Pakistan is the imposing modernist Faisal Mosque, the largest mosque in South Asia and fifth largest in the world. Other cultural hotspots include Pakistan Monument Museum, Saidpur Village and Lake View Park.

Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit Pakistan depends on where you wish to travel. The summer months of June – September are generally the ideal time to visit as the weather is mostly dry and warm throughout the country, with temperatures ranging between 21˚C and 38˚C. The summer season is perfect for hiking as the snow has melted and the passes are open. From the Fairy Meadows to Hunza Valley and the Himalayan foothills, trekking enthusiasts will be in their element here.

Fairy Meadows

A luxury holiday to Northern Pakistan would not be complete without a stop in Fairy Meadows, known for its lush green plateaus and spectacular views of The Himalayas. The fairytale meadows are situated at the base of Nanga Parbat, the 9th highest peak in the world, making it an ideal destination for intrepid hiking enthusiasts. Trek to K2 Base Camp

For the duration of this trek, you will have a chef to create delicious meals, porters to carry your heavy gear and tents already pitched at each campsite. On this expedition, travel to Biafo Glacier, Jhula, Bardumal, Paiju, Khuburtse, Urdukas, Goro II, K2 Base Camp and Askoli. Spend a night in Chilas before flying home from Islamabad.
