Trip Overview

Depart from Dublin to Lahore.

You will be greeted by an OROKO representative and your private driver, who will be waiting to transfer you to your luxury accommodation, where you’ll spend two nights. We’ve arranged a privately guided city tour and a visit to the spectacular Wagah Border flag-lowering ceremony.

Set out for Islamabad.

Stop en-route at the vast Khewra Salt Mines. Arrive in Islamabad for your two night stay. Discover Pakistan’s capital with a guided tour, paying visits to important museums, Faisal Mosque and the Pakistan Monument. Journey to Rawalpindi and explore the colourful old Raja Bazaar.

Enjoy a scenic journey to Chilas.

Take in the spectacular views of Naran Valley, stopping to see Buddhist rock engravings in Shatial before arriving in Chilas for an overnight stay. In the morning, depart for the natural wonders of Fairy Meadows.

Hike across the magnificent Fairy Meadows landscape with your expert guide.

If you don’t feel like hiking, stay on the fairytale meadows and enjoy the day at the foot of the ninth highest peak on earth. After a day of admiring the magnificent views, spend the night in a traditional mountain hut.

Traverse the Hunza Valley to Karimabad.

Spend two nights in Karimabad, discovering the historic sites that sit in the valley. Visit the whitewashed Baltit Fort and its many watchtowers and discover Karimabad Bazaar. Walk along the Babar Channel, immersing yourself in the culture and traditions of Hunzukutch, the people of Hunza.

Explore the wonders of Upper Hunza.

Visit the dramatic blue wonders of Atta Abad Lake. From there, visit Gulmit, a small village known for its museum of traditional ethnic artifacts. Head to the Hussaini Rope Suspension Bridge before visiting the traditional Passu village which offers amazing scenic hikes. Arrive in Duiker, where you’ll spend the night.

Enjoy the sunrise over the Hunza Valley.

After breakfast, pay a visit to Altit Fort, where the rulers of Hunza once resided. Explore the old-style houses in the surrounding village. Head to Gilgit for an overnight stay. On your journey stop at Hoper, a village offering breathtaking views of Ultar Glacier, Lady Finger and Ultar Peaks.

Return to Pakistan’s capital.

Before your journey home, spend another two nights in Islamabad. Visit Taxila and discover the important stages of Buddha’s life depicted in the carved panels and statues. During your visit, stop by Taxila Archaeological Museum and Dharmarajika Stupa.
