Cara Lodge
Built within an 1840s stately building, Cara Lodge is a former home of the mayor of Georgetown and has housed royalty and A-list celebrities since then. The colonial style home turned hotel retains a sense of tradition and nostalgia and in keeping with this, offers the best of familial hospitality. The lodge has 34 rooms and suites and the décor is warm and traditional, using wood from Guyanas forests. The Mango Tree patio is the perfect sunny corner to enjoy an aperitif before dinner in Bottle restaurant, which is hailed as one of the best dining establishments in the capital.
