Trip Overview

Depart from Dublin to Entebbe.

You will be met on arrival and privately transferred to Entebbe’s suburbs where you will stay for one night. Relax after the long journey with a good nights’ sleep and dinner at the hotel.

Take a short domestic flight and mini safari, arriving in Bwindi.

Spend three nights soaking up the local culture and becoming one with nature as you explore Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with game drives and forest walks.

Embark on a once in a lifetime Gorilla Trek.

With the help of a highly experienced guide, trek through the forest in search of the gorillas who have made the habitat their home. There is nothing quite like witnessing wild mountain gorillas as they eat, groom each other and play among the trees.

Visit the Batwa Pygmies, a community of semi nomadic tribespeople.

Although the tribe once flourished, their numbers are dwindling as modernisation wipes out their traditions. Visit these hunter-gatherers who have lived a difficult existence and learn about their unique way of life. These cultural visits help support members of the tribe through education and housing.

With the help of experienced guides, venture out into the bush in search of Uganda’s best game. Spot elephants bathing in the river, buffalo grazing along its banks and plenty of vervet monkeys.

Take a cruise down the Kazinga Channel in the Mweya portion of the National Park.

Enjoy incredible sightings of hippo, crocodiles, elephants and buffalo as you gently cruise through the shallows of the river. The riverbanks attract dozens of species of bird, and the cruise offers incredible views of the Mweya Peninsula.

Transfer to the final lodge of your stay.

Spend the night in a luxury lodge set next to the Kikorongo River.  

Depart for a day of chimpanzee trekking.

At Kyambura Gorge, prepare for a lively and noisy experience. The highly active chimpanzees can be seen moving through the treetops and chattering to each other. Sometimes you may even find them resting at ground level and as the chimps are habituated to humans, sightings are almost guaranteed.

Privately transfer to Kibale Forest.

This forest is unique in that it combines a blend of tropical forest, rainforest, and deciduous forest. Here you can spot red tailed monkeys, diademed monkeys, olive baboons, black and white colobus’ as well as chimpanzees.
