Luxury Holidays to Granada

The last stronghold of the Spanish Moors during the Inquisition, the city of Granada has continued to embrace its Arab legacy. Spicy aromas emanate from street stalls, horseshoe arches line the streets and locals sip tea at bohemian cafes and traditional teahouses. On luxury holidays to Granada, visit the majestic Alhambra palace complex, which affords visitors magnificent views of the city below. Set dramatically at the foot of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the colossal landmark is what Granada is best known for. The Moorish customs and architecture of Granada are a must-experience when holidaying in southern Spain, a timeless city that encompasses all that is Moorish Andalucía.

At OROKO we love the rich Moorish culture of Granada. Throughout the years, we’ve established long-standing partnerships with the best luxury hotels in the region. Whether you’re in search of a historic adventure in the city or a self-drive holiday through Andalucía, we’re ready to create the perfect luxury holidays in Granada

POCKET GUIDE TO HOLIDAYS IN GRANADA

Best time to visit

The best time to embark on luxury holidays to Granada is between April to October, when temperatures range between 12˚C – 34˚C. If sightseeing is your main priority, consider visiting in spring or autumn as temperatures are not as stifling. The city is particularly splendid in spring when the gardens and parks are in full bloom. As summer begins, the city becomes livelier, with plenty of events taking place, including Feria del Corpus, Granada’s biggest celebration. With daily temperatures in the 30’s, July and August are the ideal months for exploring the beaches on Granada’s coast.

Granada as part of a Spain holiday

Luxury holidays in Granada are perfectly combinable with Cabo de Gata on a luxury self-drive holiday. Picking up your car in Malaga, drive to Granada where you will spend two nights. Enroute, visit a family of certified organic caviar farmers in Riofrío, enjoying a fascinating tour of their farm which is the only one of its kind in the world. During your stay in Granada, spend your days exploring the historic city with a private guide and evenings discovering its old-school tapas bars and flamenco clubs. Then it is time to head to a luxury adults-only resort in Cabo de Gata for the remainder of your trip. Spend mornings exploring the wild landscapes of Andalucía’s largest coastal protected area on hiking and biking excursions before heading to the beach to relax and soak up the sun.
