Gjusta

A true artisanal bakery, Gjusta is one of our go-to places for lunch in West Hollywood. Enjoy decadent sandwiches on crusty homemade bread, from the much-loved Reuben sandwich to the experimental banh mi americano baguette. Gjusta is filled with retro throwbacks, embracing smoked fish, pickles and terrines on their larger plates. Their pastries are famous and pastry chefs experiment with clever combinations of culinary traditions. Two tasty examples are the baklava croissant and the miso date cookie. We recommend visiting later in the afternoon as patio seating is limited.

Konbi

Konbi is a café that serves Japanese-style sandwiches, vegetarian side dishes and French pastries. Guests can order from the walk-up window or sit at the ten seater counter. This is probably the only place that you can enjoy a pork katsu sandwich followed by a delicate hazelnut financier! Everything is prepared with precision and attention to detail, from the dainty way the sandwiches are presented to the care taken in the precise art of French pastry-making.

Fountain Coffee Room

The tropically decorated Fountain Coffee Room has been serving Hollywood stars like Marylin Monroe and Maggie Smith since the 1950s and continues to be the go-to spot for many celebrities. Serving breakfast all day is always a plus, especially when items on the menu include Belgian waffles, French toast and buttermilk pancakes. There is also a section dedicated to healthy choices, signature juices and sandwiches. Desserts include daily specials of American-style pies, chocolate chip cookies, ice cream floats and banana splits.

Majordōmo

Majordōmo was created by acclaimed restauranteur and founder of the Momofuku restaurant group, David Chang. His creativity and fearlessness to break rules are apparent, and bold flavours are his speciality. There is a great selection of vegetarian dishes including crispy butterball potatoes with salsa seca, chili and peanuts. Classic Asian dishes like crispy pork belly and marinated black cod are also on the menu.

Jon & Vinny’s Brentwood is your go-to Italian restaurant, specialising in house-made pizzas and pasta. The menu is bursting with freshness, beautifully filled with dishes of heirloom tomatoes, smoked mozzarella and homemade vinaigrettes. Though meat does make an appearance on the menu, it is predominately vegetarian, focusing on fresh vegetables and Italian cheeses. Perfect for families, there is a kid’s menu and a cookie-loaded dessert selection.

Crustacean is a renowned Vietnamese restaurant in Beverly Hills. Run by the An family, it serves exceptional dishes that are influenced by Californian lifestyle while still bursting with classic Asian flavours. The garlic noodles are famous here and other mouth-watering dishes include tuna cigars, karate salad with kohlrabi and black truffle and lemongrass roasted half chicken. The dining room, which is built over an underwater pond, houses a bar serving trendy cocktails like the famous Turmeric Buck to the Artichoke Old Fashioned.

Evolving from a food truck, Guerrilla Tacos is a contemporary eatery that doesn’t take itself too seriously. Seasonal menus, created around produce available from local vendors, comprise of tacos, tostadas, snacks and daily specials. Here, you can enjoy fast food treats like cod tacos, ahi poke tuna tostadas and extravagant lobster quesadillas. There are two desserts on offer, butterscotch doughnuts and sweet corn cakes. The drinks menu is extensive to say the least, comprising of beers, wines and a wide range of experimental cocktails.

Nobu

Celebrated Japanese chef Nobu Matsuhisa is a classically trained sushi-chef who brought his skills to Los Angeles in 1987. At Nobu, there is a dedicated dinner menu as well as a tapas bar selection, serving Nobu-style tacos and hot dishes. This is the place to enjoy top-quality sushi, sashimi and miso. There is an excellent vegetarian selection including a variety of soups, roast vegetables, tacos and otsumame.

Felix Trattoria takes inspiration from Italian culinary traditions and serves up some beautiful and delicious house-made pizzas and pasta right before your eyes. The menu combines a small selection of pizzas, all perfect for adults and children alike. The pasta section is divided into four, creating three dishes from each region of Italy including classics like ragú Bolognese and the Roman favourite, tonnarelli cacio e pepe. There is a small section of meat plates that contain some lovely ribeye and seafood dishes.

DAMA Fashion District is a Latin American restaurant in Downtown LA that has some of the most charming restaurant décor, especially in the pastel pink tropically decorated outdoor terrace. The menu is mainly based around small plates, perfect for sharing. Enjoy exciting flavours in dishes like aquachile, piquillo peppers, seafood tostadas and crispy squash flowers. We recommend ordering dessert as they have a tasty selection of churros, peanut butter cookies, banana sundaes and tropical fruit bowls.
