Trip Overview

Depart from Dublin to New Orleans.

Upon arrival, pick up your rental car and drive to your luxury hotel on the world-famous Bourbon Street in New Orleans’ French Quarter, your home for the next three nights. Set out on a tour of the historic city of New Orleans, a thriving cultural hub, known for its delicious food, music scene and varied history.

Leave for Covington.

Arrive at your luxury hotel, situated right in the heart of downtown Covington and all of its must-see spots, where you will spend one night. Experience Covington’s wetlands in an eco-friendly way on an exciting kayaking excursion.

Arrive in your luxury accommodation, just outside of Natchez.

Settle into your 16th-century Antebellum mansion, surrounded by flowering gardens. During your two night stay, meet your guide and explore Natchez, the oldest city on the Mississippi River and the state’s most active slave trading city in the decades before the Civil War.

Next, drive to Vicksburg, Mississippi.

Arrive in your luxury accommodation located in Vicksburg’s Historic Garden District, your home for the next two nights. Set out on a tour of haunted Vicksburg at night. Listen to tales of long-ago horrors and recent hauntings with plenty of storytelling as you wander through the beautiful Old Town.

Depart for Natchitoches.

Located in Natchitoches, Louisiana, your next accommodation is a beautiful historic property and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. Spend two nights exploring the locality at your leisure.

Drive to Darrow, Louisiana.

Settle into your luxury overnight accommodation on the Mississippi River, once a working plantation. Take a guided tour of Laura Plantation, known for its plantation house and the several surviving outbuildings, including two slave cabins. Steeped in history, accompany your expert historian guide and learn about its past.

Drive to the airport for your flight home.
