Introduction

Discover the ruins and remnants of the ancient empires which once ruled Turkey as you embark on a historical exploration of the transcontinental country. Start in the Old City of Istanbul, the former seat of the Roman, Ottoman and Byzantine Empires. After exploring the streets and sites where chariot races once took place, continue to discover magnificent Troy, the acropolis of Pergamon, the Temple of Artemis and the white calcium terraces of the Travertines. Before returning to the ancient empire, witness sites along the Silk Road and marvel at the underground cities and valleys of Cappadocia.

Visit the WWI Battlefields as well as the Lone Pine & Chunuk Bair Memorial, Anzac Cove, The Nek and Johnston's Jolly Cemetery. Afterwards, transfer to your hotel in Canakkale, where you will spend the night.

Made famous by Homer’s Iliad, embark on a guided cultural exploration. Continue to the magnificent acropolis of Pergamon before arriving at your luxury seafront hotel in Kusadasi, spending two-nights bathing on the shores of the Aegean Sea.

With your local guide, explore its well-preserved ruins including the Temple of Artemis. Continue to the village of Sirince, famous for its fruit wines. We’ve arranged a carpet weaving demonstration during your visit.

Spend the day exploring the terraces known as travertines, which were formed by terrestrial sedimentary rock deposited by mineral water from the hot springs. You’ll then arrive at a nearby health resort to spend the night.

Travel along the ancient Silk Road on a guided transfer from Pamukkale to Cappadocia.
Visit ancient sites along the Silk Road including the Sultanhani Caravansary and the Mevlana Museum, an ancient mausoleum in Kony. Arrive in Cappadocia for your two-night stay.
CAPPADOCIA SUNSET
Explore Cappadocia, renowned for its unique rock formations, underground cities and otherworldly landscapes.
Your expert guide will take you to the Goreme Valley Open Air Museum, the Hoodoo ‘fairy chimneys’ and the surreal underground cities, built during the Byzantine era.
CAPPADOCIA – DARK CHURCH
Transfer to Ankara to visit the impressive mausoleum of Anitkabir.
After witnessing the monumental site, continue to transfer back to the Old City of Istanbul where you will spend the night.

Transfer to the international airport for your flight home.
