Introduction

The Mediterranean island of Sicily is one of Italy’s most iconic regions, home to beautiful beaches, marvellous ruins and of course, the location for Coppola’s Godfather trilogy. A destination that is somewhat frozen in time, its charm lies in its historic traditions and old-fashioned customs. On this suggested itinerary, we are celebrating its less discovered destinations, the very places that made us fall in love with the island. From the elegant piazzas of Marsala to the inspiring beauty of the Zingaro Nature Reserve, this suggested itinerary is a celebration of history, simplicity and natural beauty.
