Trip Overview

Depart from Dublin to Ethiopia’s capital of Addis Ababa.
Your private driver will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel for your two night stay. We’ve arranged a privately guided tour to introduce you to the capital’s highlights, including a visit to Mount Entoto for superb views.
Depart for Arba Minch, a city at the foothills of the Rift Valley.
During your one night stay, visit the Dorze people of Chencha, who are famed for their traditional hutted homes which resemble huge beehives. Soak up the beautiful culture of the indigenous people and learn about their customs.

Transfer to the Omo Valley.
Fondly regarded as the Garden of Eden, spend three nights in an exclusive luxury camp on the river. Visit the Karo tribe who live in remote areas of the river and are characterised by their colourful body painting techniques and traditional dance rituals.

Cross the magnificent Omo Delta.
Traverse the delta and visit Dassanech villages to meet the Galeb tribes. Named the “people of the delta”, their various groups are culturally unique. Continue by visiting the Mursi people by boat, a native tribe who live in a remote area of the delta.

Discover the customs of the Turmi Hammer tribes.
Learn their unique traditions of moonlight dancing and bull jumping, a ceremony which marks the transition from childhood to adulthood. After an insightful day, drive to Konso where you’ll spend the night.

Admire the UNESCO heritage site and learn about the Konso people’s traditions and celebratory customs. Continue to the home of the Konso tribal kings in Machekie before spending the night in Arba Minch.
