Plancius
Constructed in 1976, the M/V Plancius was once an oceanographic research vessel for the Royal Dutch Navy. Now a member of the Oceanwide fleet, the vessel has been completely renovated for optimum comfort throughout its polar cruises. The ice-strengthened vessel is manned by highly experienced nautical crew members including eight expedition staff. An excursion-focused vessel, the Plancius offers five single and double kayaks and 10 Mark V Zodiacs. Select voyages offer photography workshops on board and on land, polar diving, camping and mountaineering excursions.
