POCKET GUIDE TO AMALFI COAST HOLIDAYS
Best time to visit
The best time to embark on luxury Amalfi Coast holidays is between May and October, when temperatures range between 22˚C – 30˚C. If you want to avoid the high-season summer crowds, choose to visit in late spring or early summer (April to June). The weather is beautiful, and the activities are plentiful. July and August are the busiest months, with local festivals and vibrant nightlife in full swing. However, you can still enjoy the coast in peace and solitude during these months by hiring a private boat to explore the hidden coves and beaches.
Amalfi Coast as part of an Italy holiday
One of the best ways to experience the Amalfi Coast is to combine Sorrento and Capri with Rome, for a quintessentially Italian holiday. During your three-day stay in the capital, explore the city on a Vespa, visiting iconic landmarks including the Colosseum and the Sistine Chapel. Then enjoy marvellous sunset views from a rooftop terrace. In Sorrento, enjoy a romantic meal and an aperitif of limoncello. Set sail for Capri, stopping for a refreshing dip and snorkelling along the scenic coastline. On arrival in Capri, visit the stunning Gardens of Augustus and admire the panoramic views over the Faraglioni Rocks, Mount Solaro and the bay of Marina Piccola.
