You can see the local way of life – going to the outskirts of the city and taking a long-tail boat up the canal-ways to visit some of the floating markets or the famous railway market where they move all of their stalls to let the train pass. You’ve got the flower market area of Bangkok which is just amazing to see – these amazing tropical flowers that are all set out along the road in the evening by the Koh San Road area, and the smell is just incredible. That’s teamed up with the street food that’s happening nearby.”
