Explore the glamour of Ravello

Imagine a town filled with beautiful terraced gardens, luxurious villas and magnificent cliffside views and you get Ravello. Spend the morning exploring the beautiful sights, making sure to stop in the celebrated cliffside gardens of Villa Cimbrone. Lunch alfresco in one of our favourite Ravello restaurants, which include Belmond’s Belvedere Restaurant and the Michelin-starred Rossellini’s Ravello. We highly recommend a cookery class at Mamma Agata’s cookery school while in Ravello. A lady who has cooked for icons like Elizabeth Taylor and Humphrey Bogart, there is no better way to learn and appreciate the local cuisine. Enjoy a day of creating classic flavours in her traditional Italian home overlooking the sea.

Try cliffside wine tasting

Arrive in Marisa Cuomo Winery in time for lunch. This famous winery produces Fior d’Uva, the only wine on the coast to be fermented in wooden barrels. The winery is dug out of a cliff and grapevines dramatically cling to the rocks, exposed to the cliff face of the Amalfi coastline. Stroll through the unique vineyards with your private guide before enjoying an exclusive wine tasting and lunch in Ristorante Bacco. If you feel like an afternoon basking in the sun, spend the rest of the day at the Fjord of Furore. A tiny beach accessed by a stone staircase; it is the perfect little cove for those who like the quainter bathing spots.

Take a scenic drive through the Amalfi Coast

The natural beauty of the Amalfi coast, with fishing villages and historical landmarks dotting the countryside, is perfectly suited to a day tour by car, or even by Vespa. Winding around the iconic seaside roads, pass by some of the most beautiful scenes in Europe. From vibrant lemon groves to glamorous wine estates, your scenic journey will not disappoint. Stumble upon hidden coves and quaint beaches before finishing in the town of Amalfi. Set on steep cliffs at the foot of Monte Cerreto, it is surrounded by dramatic vistas. Heavily influenced by the Byzantine empire, there are many buildings which display the distinct features of the era.

Witness the beauty of Capri

Stroll through the beautiful Gardens of Augustus, a collection of botanical terraces filled with blooming geraniums, dahlias and busy lizzies. As you reach the end of the gardens, marvel at the spectacular panoramic sea views over the Faraglioni Rocks, Mount Solaro and the bay of Marina Piccola. After exploring the zig-zagging cliff path of the gardens, make a stop for lunch at Il Geranio. A sophisticated spot in Capri, Il Geranio boasts spectacular seafood, sublime terrace vistas and a romantic atmosphere. Specialities include lobster risotto with tomatoes and tarragon, seared shrimp linguini and saffron risotto with seared scallops, roast shrimp, tomatoes and chives.

Hike the Path of the Gods

This hike will take you through quintessential Italian countryside; through ancient vineyards, terraces, farmhouses and monasteries. Journey from Bomerano to Nocelle, admiring the panoramic landscapes of the famous Path of the Gods. With your private naturalist guide, marvel at the stunning views across the coast, ranging from the archipelago of Li Galli to the Island of Capri. The interesting part of this trek is that along the way, you will meet and chat with local farmers and shepherds who live and work on the landscape.

Visit the ancient fishing villages

Visit the picturesque fishing village of Positano. The town itself sits on an enclave on the face of a hill and winds down towards the waters of the Amalfi Coast. Spend the morning relaxing on the beach or rent kayaks and discover the natural rock formations and sea caves. Lunch in one of the charming trattorias and enjoy an ice-cold limoncello on the terrace. Praiano, home to the beautiful Grotta dello Smeraldo, is another charming fishing village on the coast. The village has a friendly, laid-back vibe and boasts crystal clear waters and spectacular views.

Sail along Sorrento’s stunning coastline

Take a boat trip from the coast of Sorrento and admire the ancient fishing village of Marina Grande, the Roman ruins of Bagni della Regina Giovanna and the natural waterfalls that fall from the cliffs of the coastline. Make a stop at the Marvellous Grotto, Grotto Bianca and Grotto Verde. Take a swim in the beautiful waters, go snorkelling or relax in the sun. Along the way, admire the Natural Arch, Villa Curzio Malaparte, the Faraglioni Rocks and the lighthouse of Punta Carena. Afterwards, explore the island of Capri and sample some refreshing limoncello before returning to the port of Piano di Sorrento.

Dine at Amalfi’s most picturesque restaurants

The Amalfi Coast is renowned for its exceptional cuisine and locals never pass up an opportunity to eat! From a charming terrace restaurant in Sorrento to an elegant Michelin-starred restaurant in Ravello, the Amalfi coast has beautiful restaurants for every occasion. La Pergola in Hotel Bellevue Syrene has possibly the most beautiful terrace on the coast, ideal for a romantic meal. The outdoor dining area is beautifully decorated with columns, elegant furniture and beautiful vines hanging overhead. Sample local Mediterranean cuisine like grilled octopus, squid ink risotto and artichoke and burrata lasagne.
