Begin your South American adventure with a trip to the Gaucho heartland of Areco, just outside Buenos Aires.

Spend the day on a traditional estancia getting to know the Gaucho culture which owes its traditions to the nomadic horsemen that inhabited the area during the 18th and 19th centuries. Finish out the day with a traditional barbeque or asado and enjoy a hearty meal with locals and other guests.

Gaucho, Buenos Aries
Private transfer to Buenos Aires airport and depart for Ushuaia.

Said to be the most important city in Patagonia, this is where your voyage truly begins. On arrival, you will be met by your driver and transferred to a luxury hotel where you will spend two nights.

Ushuaia, Argentina
Experience South America’s southernmost tip and the gateway to Antarctica.

Tierra del Fuegos’ capital is a fascinating city full of incredible views and culture. Make the most of the versatile landscape with some skiing, hiking, sailing or kayaking during your stay.

Tierra del Fuegos, Argentina
Allow us to arrange a private tour of Ushuaia’s famous lakes.

Lake Fangnano and Lake Escondido are home to a wide variety of wildlife and geological features. Take in the stunning views and learn the history of the area from your own private guide.

Lake Escondido, Argentina
All aboard the Ventus Australis.

Board your luxury cruise ship and check into your cabin. Enjoy a welcoming toast with the captain and crew before your voyage begins.

Ventus Australis
At sunrise the following day, you will dock at Cape Horn.

First discovered in 1616, the island is a giant rocky cliff which overlooks the turbulent water of the Drake Passage. After a short visit on the island, weather permitting, you will reboard the cruise ship and sail across Nassau Bay to Wulaia Bay.

Cape Horn
Wulaia Bay is a place of dramatic geography and incredible human history.

The bay was originally home to a large settlement of Yámana aboriginals. The area was even sketched and written about during the 1830s by none other than Charles Darwin and Captain Fitzroy aboard the HMS Beagle. Choose from three different hikes to reach panoramic viewpoints over the bay.

Wulaia Bay, Chile
The next stop is Pia Fjord.

Here you will board smaller zodiac boats for an excursion to Pia Glacier. Once you reach the shore, you will disembark and begin a hike to the viewpoint from which the glacier can best be appreciated.

Pia Fjord, Chile
Anchor near Garibaldi Glacier for another excursion.

Here you will visit a glacier which is one of three in Patagonia which are actually gaining mass over time, rather than shrinking. Hike through the beautiful, forested landscape until you reach a stunning glacial waterfall which overlooks the glacier and fjord below.

Glacier Alley, Chile
Depart for Agostini Sound.

On arrival, you may enjoy a gentle walk around the beautiful lagoon that was formed by the melting of the Aguila Glacier. Then, using the Zodiac boats once again, journey to Condor Glacier where you will see the abundant Andean Condors.

Agostini Sound, Chile
Enjoy your final stop off at Magdalena Island.

The island is home to an immense colony of Magellan penguins. You will go ashore here and hike through the penguin habitat to a small museum located in an old lighthouse building.

Magellan Island, Chile
Disembark from the cruise at Punta Arenas.

Here you will be met by a driver and privately transferred to a luxury, eco-hotel where you will spend three nights reacquainting yourself with dry land.

Ecocamp, Patagonia

Learn about the indigenous inhabitants and how the modern tourism industry began there. During your stay, get to know the landscape with guided hikes, nature walks, safaris and much more.

Patagonia, Chile
