Trip Overview

Depart from Dublin to Saint Denis.

Your car hire will be prearranged for collection on arrival at the airport. Drive to Sainte Anne, your first stop on your Reunion Island adventure. Here, you will spend three nights relaxing in a secluded and private boutique hotel.

Embark on a privately guided tour of Cirque de Salazie.

This rugged valley is famous for its lush vegetation. Look out for old-style creole houses, enjoy the scent of vanilla plantations, witness native wildlife and even spot colourful Hindu temples in this unique area.

Head west towards the next stop on your island exploration.

Arrive in Cilaos spa town where you will spend two nights. Made famous by its natural hot springs and vineyards, the town occupies a prime position in the Cirque de Cilaos, a forested and rugged caldera.

A visit to Cirque de Cilaos is a must.

A private guide will take you southwest towards the volcanic caldera, stopping off at several volcanic features along the way. Visit a white foam geyser known as the souffleur and the famous 400-bend road in the Cilaos Valley.

Your next destination is the small town of Saint-Leu.

Just over an hour’s drive away, this coastal village is full of colonial architecture and stunning scenery. Here, you will spend your final three nights.

Hike the Piton de la Fournaise Volcano with your local guide.

This incredible feature can be walked from head to toe and makes for an unforgettable hike. There is also an option to explore the volcano on horseback or take a mountain bike ride.

This is a beautiful cape where the ocean, cliffs and savannah lands come together. A drive through the area is the perfect way to experience the scattered basalt rocks, deep ravines and crashing waves at the coast.
