Perfect for adventurers and climbers, this itinerary takes you to Kilimanjaro’s little brother, Mount Kenya. As Africa’s second-highest summit, the climb will both challenge and exhilarate trekkers, a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Begin your trip in bustling Nairobi before making your way to Meru. Spend four nights on the mountain, sleeping in tented camps as you go. Views from the summit are breathtaking and make the hard climb worthwhile. On a clear day, you may even spot Kilimanjaro in the distance. Finish your trip with a blissful stay in a beachside resort and return home triumphant, well-rested and full of stories to tell.

Trip Overview

Depart from Dublin to Nairobi.
You will be greeted on arrival and privately transferred to a stylish and relaxing hotel just outside the city. Nairobi is a vibrant, growing city, a mosaic of many races and cultures, but it still retains its charm. Spend one night here relaxing before you embark on your trek.
Privately transfer to your next destination, Meru.
Here you will spend one night at a remote lodge before embarking on your trek. Enjoy a gentle walk in the gardens and get a good nights’ sleep.

Hike famous Mt Kenya over five days with a professional guide.
Mt Kenya is an extinct volcano with jagged peaks rising to 5,199m/17,057ft. It has three main peaks; Batian, Nelion and Lenana Peak.
Mount Kenya
Africa’s second highest mountain offers an unforgettable experience.
Starting with invigorating hill walks through upland forests rich with wildlife, moving on to challenging hikes through bamboo forests, then upwards and onwards to the boulders of Point Lenana, you’re treated to world-class views all the way.
Mount Kenya
The mountain landscape and climate changes dramatically as you ascend.
The mix of rainforest, bamboo, open woodland, scrub and moorland is home to myriad birdlife, including soaring eagles, the purple-throated cuckooshrike, green-backed heron and lammergeier vulture. At the end of summit day, rest your tired legs for the remainder of the day. Tomorrow, you’ll begin the descent.
Complete your descent and return to Meru.
Spend one more night at a peaceful riverside lodge before flying to your next destination.
Meru Kenya
You then fly directly to Diani, on the southern Kenya coast.
Spend your final four nights here on an all-inclusive basis.
Diani Beach Kenya
There are endless activities to do here.
Enjoy snorkelling, diving, fishing, stand-up paddleboarding, canoeing, horse-riding on the beach and tennis. If you need a bit of pampering, indulge in massage treatments or unwind with a cocktail in hand.
