This stunning island boasts one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, The Colossus of Rhodes, which stands within the historic Medieval Old Town of the City of Rhodes and is currently a World Heritage Site. Not only is Rhodes known for its historical sites and ancient ruins, but also for its quaint, traditional villages and unspoilt beaches. On this suggested itinerary, we’ve arranged a seven-night stay in one of our favourite family resorts. Depart from Dublin to Rhodes.

Your private driver will be waiting to transfer you to your family-friendly accommodation along the shores of Lardos Beach where you’ll spend the next seven nights.

Get to know Lindos on a privately guided tour.

With your guide, journey to the Acropolis of Lindos on foot, a short, steep-stepped footpath climbs the rocky 116m-high headland above the village to reach the beautifully preserved Acropolis. Explore the ruins of the ancient clifftop citadel and witness the sea views. Return to the fishing village for a delicious lunch at a local taverna.

Spend quality family time on the beach.

Relax on the sandy shores of the beach and enjoy the summer sun. For a memorable family experience, take part water sport activities like family sailing lessons, jet skiing or wakeboarding.

It’s time to cruise to Symi aboard your private yacht.

Depart from the town of Rhodes and board the yacht to sail across the Mediterranean towards the island Symi. Spend the day exploring the charming island, home to colourful neoclassical buildings and the ancient monastery of Archangel Michael Panormitis.

Back on land, spend the day in the Valley of the Butterflies.

In the company of your expert guide, explore the national park, home to scenic walking trails and the famed Zitia tree, a favourite among butterflies. This is an excellent place for families who wish to enjoy the beauty of nature and examine the life cycle of butterflies. Finish the day with a private cooking class, learning to make authentic mezze in a nearby village taverna.
