Honeymoon in Mykonos – The best beach clubs and restaurants

Mykonos is a glamourous and romantic honeymoon destination known for pristine beaches, turquoise water, classic Greek architecture, and luxury accommodation. Whether you are looking for a quiet getaway or a party weekend, Mykonos can cater to your personal tastes. The island is home to some of the best restaurants around so be sure to try as many as possible. We recommend never eating at the same restaurant twice as there are so many incredible options to choose from.  Take a peek at some of our favourite places to visit on the Island for food, drinks, dancing and fun.

Principote Beach Club

Located in Panormos beach, this club offers travelers a VIP experience right on the seafront. As the only beach club on the strip, Principote allows its guests to have their own space and enjoy an intimate lunch in the sunshine. Enjoy a cocktail or some dinner while looking out at the crystal clear water. For lunch, we recommend the seafood linguine which is the perfect accompaniment to the sunny ambience.

Nammos Beach Club

This beach club brings a party vibe to the Psarou beachfront. As well as great music and signature cocktails, Nammos is known for its incredibly fresh seafood which is prepared onsite. The baby calamari and sushi are particularly delicious when paired with the Miraval Rosé. The beach club is also situated close to Nammos shopping village for a break from the sun lounger.

Scorpios of Paraga Beach

This unique beach club takes rustic Bohemia and combines it with luxury food and booming nightlife. Serving up delicious, mostly vegetarian fare throughout the afternoon and evening, the kitchen reinvents Greek classics creating healthy, innovative dishes. Scorpios truly comes alive at night. As the sun sets, the minimalist cabanas and open house fill up quickly and booking is essential. Each evening begins with sunset rituals, a nod to the club’s holistic approach to wellness. The DJ turns up the volume and the evening usually continues until 1 am.

Spilia Seaside restaurant & cocktail bar

Carved into the cliffside, Spilia is a beautiful restaurant in a stunning location. Guests dine inside candlelit caverns or on the edge of the ocean. This is a unique spot serving dishes such as sundried octopus and sea urchins which are shucked at your table. Sit under the canopy and watch the sun dance on the ocean waves whilst trying out the traditional and more interpretive sharing plates on the menu.

Ling Ling’s

For something a little out of the ordinary, we recommend Ling Ling’s, where Asian cuisine and Mykonos style come together for an out of this world dining experience. A stylish and contemporary space, the restaurant is adorned with bright foliage and has an open-air roof allowing you to dine under the stars. The Cantonese menu is sprinkled with Greek influences and the Supreme Dim Sum platter is a must. Laden with locally caught seafood such as lobster and king crab, it is one of the many sumptuous plates on offer.

Funky Kitchen

Funky Kitchen is hidden on a back street just off Lakka square, but foodies have no problem finding this hotspot. The restaurant serves fresh seafood, vegan dishes and more meat than most eateries on the Island, so perfect for the carnivore in your group. All dishes are prepared with local produce and present a modern take on traditional Greek cuisine. Don’t leave without trying the peach crème brulee, a decadent take on the French classic. The cosy dining room and terrace offer a relaxed approach to fine dining.

For the more cosmopolitan among us, Interni Restaurant is the place to be. Situated in the heart of Mykonos town, Interni is an open-air restaurant and bar with a jet setting vibe. Guests can soak up the lively atmosphere whilst enjoying a drink from the extensive wine list or sampling some delicious Greek-style cuisine. We recommend arriving after 11 pm when the place really comes alive.

Fokos Beach and Taverna

This restaurant shows off the natural beauty of Mykonos. It is situated so far off the beaten track that the best way to reach it is via dune buggy. The taverna itself sits right on the beach overlooking the water and the simplistic décor offsets the landscape beautifully. Greek delicacies prepared with local, seasonal ingredients are served throughout the day and the taverna grill master is always on hand to prepare fish freshly caught from the sea.

M-eating Restaurant

This popular eatery offers fine dining set in an old Mykonos townhouse. Choose to sit in the dining room, the garden or on the veranda whilst enjoying artistic and contemporary dishes that bring together Mediterranean and Greek influences. Created by one of Greece’s top restaurateurs, the food is not only delicious but visually appealing. All dishes are presented impeccably. As well as looking like a piece of art, the menu is renowned for incredible flavours and quality ingredients which all come directly from farm-to-table.

Remezzo Mykonos

This is a stunning venue to watch the sun set over the water. A great place for yacht spotting, Remezzo attracts a jet setting crowd. The extensive drinks menu covers everything from signature cocktails to wines and the dinner menu reflects this. There is an abundance of options available from octopus carpaccio to roast lamb, all of which are prepared with the freshest of ingredients. For those looking to stay social after sundown, guest DJs keep the party alive until sunrise.
