Luxury Holidays to Marrakech

On luxury holidays to Marrakech, marvel at the whirlwind of colours, bewitching snake charmers and fragrant spices, backgrounded by the joyous sounds of sintir players. Occupying the walled medieval city is a maze of souk-lined cobblestoned lanes, folk dancers and sandstone buildings, perfumed by the aromas of delicious street food. A sharp contrast is the collection of magnificent palaces, ornate mosaics and pristine gardens of the “new city”. POCKET GUIDE TO LUXURY HOLIDAYS TO MARRAKECH

Best time to visit

Luxury holidays to Marrakech are wonderful at any time of year. Due to its North African location, max temperatures can vary from 19˚C – 38˚C, depending on the time of year. However, spring (March to May) and late autumn (September to November) are generally the best times to visit with temperatures in the low-mid 20s, ideal for sightseeing and enjoying the city’s main attractions. For outdoor activities including hiking and horse riding, autumn is best. Festivals worth checking out include MadJazz, Oasis Festival and the Festival of Popular Arts.

Marrakech as part of a Morocco holiday

For the ultimate exploration of Morocco, combine luxury Marrakech holidays with Casablanca, Chefchaouen, Fez, Sahara, and the Atlas Mountains. Starting in Chefchaouen, spend one day exploring the city before transferring to Fez, where you will visit three food souks as well as the Medina. On arrival in the Sahara Desert, enjoy a 4×4 dune excursion and sunset camel ride. The next stop on your trip is the Atlas Mountains, where you will enjoy a guided hike, visits to the surrounding Berber villages and a bread-making class. Once you leave the mountains, spend three nights in Marrakech, embarking on a historical tour of the city and taking to the skies in a hot air balloon. The final stop on your Moroccan adventure is the renowned city of Casablanca. Whilst there, we will arrange a visit to the Hassan II Mosque, the country’s biggest mosque.
