The ski area is famous for hosting the hardest downhill race on the World Cup circuit. However, when this event is not taking place, the Streif is open for the more adventurous skiers to challenge themselves on.

Jochberg, just ten kilometres south of Kitzbühel, is a charming alpine village in the heart of the Kitzbühel Alps. The ideal destination for all holiday types, luxury Jochberg ski holidays allow ski enthusiasts to stay in an OROKO favourite, the Kempinski Hotel das Tirol.

POCKET GUIDE TO SKI KITZBUHEL SKI HOLIDAYS

Best time to visit

The best time to embark on luxury Kitzbühel ski holidays is between late December and late March. Despite its low altitude in comparison to other resorts, the slopes lie on grassy mountains, so they don’t require a huge amount of snow to remain skiable. Christmas, New Year, and the February mid-term are the most popular times to visit the resort, so first-time skiers and those seeking a more laidback holiday should consider visiting outside of those periods.

Best suited to all ski levels

Stretching over 200 km and with 60 lifts, Kitzbühel has a huge variety of slopes with nursery areas, steeps, moguls, and off-piste terrain, making it suitable for all ski levels. Expert and veteran skiers shouldn’t leave without tackling the Hahenkamm’s legendary Streif, which plays host to the hardest downhill race on the World Cup Circuit.

OROKO Partner Hotel

An OROKO favourite, the Kempinski Hotel das Tirol enjoys a prime position in the picturesque Tyrolean Alps. Guests will particularly enjoy the award-winning spa, spread over three floors. Perfect for soothing sore muscles, take a dip in the indoor or outdoor pool, relax in the sauna or visit the wonderful brine therapy area.
