OROKO eats | The best restaurants in Dubai

Dubai is a stunning city where visitors come to bask in warm sunshine, shop in elegant boutiques and visit the best clubs and restaurants. Dubai is bursting with an outstanding range of restaurants celebrating cultures from all over the world. We’ve been to Dubai many times, so today we’re sharing some of our top restaurants to dine in. From Japanese cuisine to world-famous steakhouses, we have an eatery to suit every palate.

Asia Asia

+971 4 276 5900 | Dubai Marina Mall, 6th Floor, Pier 7 - Sheikh Zayed Rd

Taking inspiration from the spice routes of old, Asia Asia has created a delicious menu which reflects a culinary journey through Asia all the way to the Far East. The dining room has gorgeous views of the Dubai Marina and is the perfect place to watch the sunset with a cocktail in hand. The restaurant does sushi Saturdays, which are great fun and the regular a la carte menu is really creative and varied with plenty of options.

Nobu at Atlantis The Palm

+971 4 426 2626 | Ground Level, The Avenues, Atlantis

Dine in style at Dubai’s best Japanese restaurant, Nobu. The world-renowned restaurant chain has 42 branches worldwide and has taken up a Dubai residence at Atlantis, The Palm. Nobu serves Japanese-Peruvian inspired cuisine with sushi a particular speciality. The restaurant attracts a stylish crowd and is a great place for people watching as well as enjoying a fantastic meal with friends. For something different, try the wagyu beef tacos, a Japanese twist on a Mexican classic.

Seafire at Atlantis The Palm

+971 4 426 2626 | Ground Level, The Avenues, Atlantis

Seafire, as the name suggests, brings together deliciously fresh seafood and flame-grilled beef in an atmospheric, New-York style dining room. Known for generous portion sizes and attention to detail, diners arrive hungry and leave happy. Every detail is considered important here, right down to your steak-knife. Tailor your own dining experience by choosing a knife from Japan, France, UAE or even further afield. Although steak is the star of the show here, the seafood platters are equally delicious and great for sharing.

Rib Room at Emirates Towers

+971 4 432 3232 | Ground floor, Jumeirah Emirates Towers, Sheikh Zayed Road, DIFC

This is one for the carnivores. Rib Room at Emirates Towers specialises in beef of all kinds. From tender wagyu steaks to melt-in-the-mouth short ribs, chefs at Rib Room can create anything you want. An incredible wine list offers delicious meal pairings and postprandial beverages, making the restaurant perfect for celebrations. For non-meat eaters, there are still plenty of vegetarian options as well as delicious seafood dishes such as pan-seared scallops or fresh lobster with melted butter.

Zuma DIFC

+971 4 425 5660 | Gate Village 06, Podium Level - Happiness St

Zuma Dubai is located in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), right at the heart of the city. The trendy eatery takes traditional Japanese Izakaya cuisine and gives it a sophisticated twist. Intensely flavoured ingredients such as green chillies, lemon garlic and spicy ginger are used to elevate dishes and create new flavours. We recommend trying the grilled Australian wagyu rib-eye steak with truffle sauce for a decadent feast fit for a king.

Okku H Hotel

+971 4 501 8777 | One Sheikh Zayed Road

With a newly renovated kitchen, Okku is the pinnacle of modern dining in Dubai. The dining room is dark and atmospheric with Asian influences such as delicate wall paintings throughout. Look out for the aquarium behind the bar containing real jellyfish! Don’t leave without trying some cocktails from the bar which are prepared by professional mixologists. Dishes are served as small plates, so we recommend ordering plenty and sharing everything to get the full experience.

The Exchange Grill at Fairmont Dubai

+971 4 311 8316 | 2nd Floor, Fairmont, Sheikh Zayed Road - Dubai

Set in the luxurious Fairmont Hotel, The Exchange Grill has been recognised by Time-Out magazine as the best steakhouse in Dubai due to its wide selection of beef. From Kobe fillet steaks to New York striploin, they can truly offer anything. The eclectic dining room is covered in brightly coloured artwork giving the restaurant a modern, theatrical feel. The service here is excellent but can be a little slow so make sure you plan ahead so you can relax and enjoy your meal.

Nusr-ET

+971 4 407 4100 | Jumeirah Beach Dubai Restaurant Village Four Seasons Resort

This world-famous restaurant will leave you with lasting memories for years to come. Owned by the internet sensation ‘Salt Bae’, Nusr-ET is much more than a gimmick. Butcher and chef, Nusret Gokce, has carefully designed the restaurant and menu for a completely unique dining experience. Waiters put on a show, carving steaks with aplomb at your table. We recommend trying the Nusr-ET special Sushi followed by the ottoman steak. If you have space for dessert, the baklava is not to be missed.

Zheng He’s

+971 4 432 3232 | Jumeirah Mina A' Salam, Madinat Jumeirah, Jumeirah Road, Umm Suqeim 3

This stunning waterside restaurant serves some of the best Chinese food Dubai has to offer. Traditional recipes are reimagined and given a modern flair with artistic presentation and zany garnishes. Try to get a table by the water which has the best views of the Burj Al Arab. Duck is their particular speciality, so make sure to give it a try, the sweet and sour is also fantastic.
