Footsteps in the sand

We have a soft spot for Namibia at OROKO. Red desert escarpments, ghostly shipwrecks of the skeleton coast and teeming Etosha National Park meet in this vast open territory. Serene, isolated and peaceful, it’s a dream destination for any photographer. Morning and evening sunlight on gently moving sands create an extraordinary palette on the landscape.

We’ll take you from your international arrival point, Windhoek, by private plane to the stunning Wolwedans lodge, to your rustic haven in the NamibRand Nature Reserve. We’ll help you explore the vast landscape in a 4 x 4 with our guides, where you’ll dine and relax under epic desert sunsets. We’ll arrange your hot-air balloon flight or if you prefer, travel on horseback through stunning desert habitats.

Your arranged flight will bring you to Sossusvlei’s iconic giant red sand dunes and following a night at our carefully selected desert lodges; you will view from above the shipwrecks and diamond mines of the Skeleton coast, arriving in Swakopmund. This laid-back artistic German colonial seaside town is a wonderful adventure sports base and a great place to wander through. We can arrange your sand boarding and paragliding trips with the best local guides and instructors.

A short flight north to Mowani Mountain camp for game driving with the elephant population is a great stepping stone to Etosha National Park further north. But, instead, why not let us arrange a truly unique experience staying at the Movie House? A once-upon-a-time film set in the desert, it defines sparse luxury. The night sky is yours, and we will arrange everything for you to make your stay comfortable. Adventurous souls will feel very at home here.

From Mowani or Onjowewe, we will fly you to Ongava, bordering abundant Etosha National Park. Our carefully selected lodge accommodation will serve as a great base for morning and evening game drives with the best available guides. The precious black rhino competes with the lion and elephant populations for the attention of your lens. Gemsbok, impala, kudu, and more than three hundred bird species gather at waterholes for a special safari experience. Allow us to take you back to Windhoek for our journey home, with a bank of wonderful memories from this great land.
