Trip Overview

Depart from Dublin to the modern provincial capital of Guiyang.

Your private driver will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel. During your two-night stay, meet Han locals making traditional belts by hand and enjoy a traditional dixi opera performance.

Enjoy a guided historical tour of an ancient Baojia village.

Baojia was a system of communal self-defence created during the Song dynasty. Strongmen, known as caiyong, were trained in martial arts to protect the locals from danger.

Transfer to Leishan, a county with rich cultural traditions.

Spend two nights enjoying activities like paddle boarding on the Wengcheng River, visits to the Baibi Village and scenic breakfasts in the countryside.

Take a guided hike from Baibi Village to the Wu Rao Tea Plantations.

Admire beautiful views of the countryside and on arrival, help local farmers with seasonal vegetables and collecting tea leaves. After a busy morning, enjoy lunch with a local family.

Transfer to Kaili, visiting the Datang Miao Village along the way.

After visiting the local village and meeting a local bamboo instrument maker, arrive in Kaili. Check in to your accommodation for your one-night stay and enjoy an afternoon kayaking on the Qingshui River.

Set out for Chong’an, a village inhabited by Geija people.

According to legend, they are direct descendants of Houyi, a legendary archer. Continue to Zhouxi Miao Village and Dong minority villages, hidden among mountain hills and surrounded by incredible beauty.

After spending the night in Rongjiang, transfer to the rustic village of Zhaoxing.

After exploring, take a scenic drive to Huang Gang Village, renowned for its folk music. Wander around the village, meet the locals and spend the night in a traditional guesthouse.

Pass the border of Guangxi to reach Sanjiang, a charming Dong village.

Renowned for its unique food culture, sample delicious dishes in the town before taking a scenic drive to the cascading rice terraces of Longsheng. You’ll spend the night in a guesthouse that promises outstanding views.

Trek through minority villages along the beautiful Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terraces.

A rewarding experience, trek through incredible landscapes and capture beautiful snapshots. Meet locals and learn about their traditional way of life. You’ll then transfer to Yangshuo for your three night stay.

During your stay in the glorious surroundings of Yangshuo, enjoy a traditional rafting experience with your local guide and float past the dramatic karst landscapes. In the evening, enjoy a breathtaking performance in a natural amphitheatre.
