Introduction

Hugging the tip of Australia’s southeast coast, Victoria offers a wealth of diverse landscapes and attractions. Our Travel Specialist, Fiona, has tailored a road trip that starts in the coastal capital city of Melbourne, renowned for its perfect balance of culture, nature and top-class cuisine. Explore its cosmopolitan boroughs from the sky on a balloon flight before setting out to one of the world’s most iconic coastal routes, the Great Ocean Road. Adventure along the limestone cliffs, passing crashing waterfalls and secluded beaches before unwinding on the Mornington Peninsula, where you can bask in the peace and quiet of a luxury property surrounded by vineyards.

Trip Overview

Depart from Dublin to Victoria’s capital.

Your private driver will transfer you to your luxury hotel in the city, your home for the next four nights. Discover Melbourne’s incredible food scene by eating at some of our recommended restaurants.

View Melbourne from new heights.

We have arranged a balloon flight over the city, allowing you to admire its beauty in totality from above. You will also pay a visit to an iconic gin distillery in Yarra Valley, discovering more about the distilling process and tasting signature gins along the way.

Pick up your rental car and head for the spa town of Daylesford.

For three nights, stay at an iconic lakeside hotel that blends the best of rural life with the sophisticated pleasures of fine dining, wellness treatments and elegant surrounds.

Begin your Great Ocean Road adventure.

Admire the striking vistas and wildlife along the iconic road with craggy cliffs, empty beaches flanked by brilliant green countryside and the world-famous limestone pillars, the 12 Apostles. Arrive in Port Fairy for your two-night stay.

Take a walk on the wild side.

Trek through the tree-fern gullies and eucalypt woodlands in the Otways, spotting koalas in the wildlife sanctuary, learning about ongoing conservation efforts and exploring spectacular Australian bushland environments

Discover the beauty of the Mornington Peninsula for two nights.

Soak up intoxicating vineyard views and indulge in wine tasting at your luxury hotel. An unmissable experience, take a trip to Pt. Leo Estate, known for its world-class wining and dining, evolving landscapes and sculpture park.

Drive back to Melbourne for your flight home.

Arrive in Dublin.
