Trip Overview

Depart from Dublin to Fukuoka, a city on the island of Kyushu.

Your private driver will transfer you to your hotel for your two-night stay. You’ll receive an in-depth welcome orientation as well as your subway pass, portable Wi-Fi device with unlimited data and in-depth maps and recommendations.

Explore Fukuoka on a privately guided tour.

With your local guide, visit the city’s most renowned sites including the 17th-century Fukuoka Castle, Shofukuji Temple and the peaceful Ohori Park. Renowned for its tonkatsu ramen culture, we’ll take you to one of Fukuoka’s finest ramen bars.

Transfer to Nagasaki, via express train.

You’ll spend two nights in a contemporary hotel that offers outstanding cuisine and panoramic views over Nagasaki Bay. We recommend visiting Mt Inasa and relaxing in the Fukunoyu Onsen for spectacular vistas, especially at nightfall.

Enjoy a guided tour of Nagasaki.

Highlights include a visit to Glover Garden, an attractive garden and open-air museum situated on a slope above the city, which boasts stunning views over Nagasaki and the harbour. Continue to Dejima, Koshi-byo, Nagasaki’s Confucian Shrine and the vibrant Chinatown.

Transfer to the 17th-century city of Kumamoto, via express train.

Allow us to arrange a privately guided tour during your one night stay. Visit sites like the beautiful gardens of Suizenji, Lafcadio Hearn’s Former Residence and the grounds of Kumamoto Castle.

Drive to the onsen resort of Yufuin, via Mount Aso and Kuju Mountains.

Collect your rental car and embark on a scenic drive towards Yufuin, where you’ll spend two nights in a historic ryokan. Explore the spectacular landscapes that surround, bathe in the natural onsen and visit the Onta Pottery Village.

Depart for Taketomi Island, via plane and ferry.

Arrive on the tropical island of Taketomi and settle into your beachside accommodation for your three night stay. The island is surrounded by crystal clear waters and coral reefs, making it an excellent location for swimming, snorkelling and relaxing.

Depart for Taipei, the capital of Taiwan.

Privately transfer to your contemporary hotel for your three night stay. Set out on a foodie tour of the vibrant streets, famed for flavour-packed dishes like beef noodle soup, spicy hot pot, century eggs, soup dumplings and scallion pancakes. This is the last stop on your trip before you fly home!

Transfer to the international airport for your flight home.
