About Grindelwald

Grindelwald is a village and ski resort in Switzerland’s Bernese Alps, boasting a truly breathtaking location at the foot of the iconic north face of Eiger Mountain. Known for its lush alpine beauty in the summertime, as the snow starts to stick on the soaring peaks, ski-enthusiasts begin to flock for stretches of ultra-scenic pistes.

The largest ski resort in the Jungfrau region, the slopes are served by lifts offering access to two diverse ski areas, Grindelwald-First and Kleine Scheidegg. The resort is an intermediate skier’s playground with plenty of pistes that are perfect for leisurely cruising while also offering long runs for beginners to practice. When the snow is good, off-piste opportunities make for exciting runs for the more advanced skier.

Grindelwald is well-known for its excellent activities off the slopes including zip-lining, trips on-the-mountain railway, hiking, tobogganing and even ice skating.
