Introduction

Many of us at OROKO have summited the mighty Kilimanjaro and are on hand to share our expertise and create the adventure trip of a lifetime. One of the Seven Summits, climbing Kilimanjaro is on many people’s bucket-list. As you begin in the Tanzanian rainforest, you will climb at a slow and steady pace. Marvel at views of Mount Kenya, and the plains beneath you as you step above the clouds. Your early morning summit will be a moment you never forget as you watch the African sunrise 5,895 metres above sea level. For some well-deserved rest, a quick hop to the island retreat of Zanzibar is the perfect end to your trip.

Trip Overview

Depart from Dublin to Kilimanjaro International Airport.

You will be greeted on arrival and transferred to Moshi for one night before you begin your trek. An evening briefing will take place so that you are fully equipped for the adventure about to unfold.

Ascend Mount Kilimanjaro.

With your professional crew, you will spend four nights ascending the mountain. Begin by trekking through banana and coffee farms before crossing the beautiful rainforest and heathland. After overnighting and Machame, Shira, Barranco and Barafu Camps, you will have witnessed some truly incredible vistas.

Summit Mount Kilimanjaro.

You will wake in the early hours of the morning to begin your journey to Stella Point. As you see the headlamps of fellow climbers bobbing ahead, each step is one closer to reaching Uhuru Point.

At sunrise, you will feel on top of the world as you have reached the summit.

Pause for a photo op before spending two nights descending the mountain and then spend one further night in Moshi.

Depart from Kilimanjaro International Airport to Zanzibar and relax on the beach.

On arrival, private transfer to your beautiful adults-only beach resort in Nungwi where you will spend four nights on an all-inclusive basis. You will need a few days to recover physically and mentally from the feat of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.

Zanzibar is the ideal place in which to relax.

Relax on the white sandy beaches and swim in the turquoise water. Enjoy a massage on the beach, or a sunset cruise as you toast to your final nights in beautiful Tanzania.

Transfer to Zanzibar Airport and fly home.

Arrive in Dublin.
