Depart from Dublin to Quito.

Set out on your guided Cotopaxi hiking expedition.
Witness the breathtaking landscapes of Ecuador, visit indigenous villages and admire the incredible volcanic crater of Quilotoa Caldera. Each night during your seven night hike, we’ll arrange accommodation in renowned mountain lodges.
Climb the Pasochoa Peak towards Cotopaxi.
As you trek higher up the mountain, admire the remote surroundings and unforgettable views of the Pasochoa Crater and mountain crests. Continue along the Pita River Canyon, keeping an eye out for soaring Andean condors.
Reach the top of the Cotopaxi Volcano.
Give yourselves a round of applause as you reach the top of the world’s highest active volcano. Reaching 5,100 metres above sea level, look down at how far you’ve climbed and the wonderful panoramic views that surround you.
Transfer to Otavalo, an ancient town in the Andean highlands.
Spend two nights in a historic property and venture to the world famous Otavalo Market to admire the colourful stalls. In the afternoons, recharge your batteries in the sunny courtyard and take a dip in the garden pool.

Hacienda La Alegria is a traditional lodge in Ecuador’s Valley of the Volcanoes. The beautiful estancia features 11 rooms and interiors are decorated in a classic hacienda style. The family-run property is an experiential accommodation, where guests are encouraged to experience authentic equestrian life in the beauty of the Andes. The ranch caters to all levels, whether you are a complete beginner or experienced rider. Accompanying expert guides, embark on a variety of day trips including trips through the Andes, cloud forests and high open grasslands.
Situated in the quaint village of Chugchilan, Mama Hilda is perfectly situated along the Quilatoa Loop. The hosteria is a family-run property and evokes a homely, inviting vibe from the moment you enter. Interiors are authentically Andean, with colourful rugs, wooden furnishings and high beams.
Set within the Cotopaxi National Park, Chilcabamba Lodge offers inviting accommodation after a long day of hiking through the beautiful landscape. The thatched property features rustic décor with traditional furnishings and wooden high beamed roofs. In the afternoon, guests are invited to mingle by the bonfire, play games in the games room or relax in the reading lounge.
Tambopaxi is a rustic mountain lodge that is situated just a short walk from Cotopaxi National Park. It is the only ecolodge and acclimatisation centre that is situated 3,750 metres above sea level in Cotopaxi. The lodge features a small selection of ensuite cabins and facilities include a small restaurant which offers spectacular vistas of the volcano.
A historic property in Otavalo, Hacienda Piman dates back to the 1680s. One of the oldest haciendas in Ecuador, interiors are decorated in an authentic colonial style and reminiscent of a historic grand mansion. The property is surrounded by colourful and fragrant gardens which house an inviting swimming pool and ancient chapel.
