Introduction

South East Asia offers an abundance of tastes, smells, history and culture. Cambodia is a bucket-list destination for many, and combining it with the lesser-explored countryside of Laos makes for a unique South East Asian experience. As you follow the path of the Mekong, experience the French colonial influences in Luang Prabang and witness authentic country life in Champasak. Arriving in Cambodia, ancient history of the Angkor Wat temple complex meets the darker and more recent history of the Khmer Rouge regime. With a brief stop in the Gulf of Thailand to enjoy some down-time, this itinerary is a perfectly paced exploration of this fascinating corner of Asia.
