Spend two nights surrounded by low-lying valleys and snow-capped mountains and set out on explorations of the local farmers’ stalls at Zhongyi Market and the beautiful Wenhai Valley.

Travel along the Ancient Tea Horse Road to Tiger Leaping Gorge.

Hike through the rugged rocky landscape of one of the deepest gorges in the world. Visit Shaxi, a historic market town renowned for trading tea and horses during the Tang Dynasty.

Continue along the ancient road to reach Dali, on the peaceful shores of the beautiful Erhai Lake.

Stop by the Lanten minority village of Namdeng Nua and visit the temple of PraXack Kham, home to a Buddha statue that is said to have healing powers. Spend two nights in Muang La and enjoy bathing in the natural springs.

On a mountain trekking excursion, admire vistas of the River Nam Pak, terraced rice fields and small villages. Visit a local Khamu village and enjoy lunch by the waterfall.
