Trip Overview

Depart from Dublin to Tehran.

You will be greeted on arrival by an OROKO representative and privately transferred to your luxury hotel in the heart of the city for an overnight stay. Spend your evening admiring the cityscape and sampling delicious Persian food.

Set out for Zanjan.

Stop en route in Soltaniyeh and witness its incredible UNESCO-listed 14^th-century giant dome. Continue to Zanjan for an overnight stay. Head into the nearby mountain valley and visit the majestic Sassanian and Zoroastrian ruins of Takht-e Soleyman.

Explore the ancient city of Maragheh.

Transfer to the city for an overnight stay. With your guide, visit beautiful 12^th-century Seljuk and Ilkhanid tomb towers. Drive to the unique Kandovan village in the heights of Mount Sahand, where the local people have carved their homes in the rockfaces.

Journey to Tabriz.

Spend three nights in this historic city, discovering its many UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Visit nearby Julfa and St. Stepanos Monastery, an ancient and beautiful Armenian site. Explore Tabriz, stopping at the Blue Mosque, the Azerbaijan Museum, Constitution House and its world-renowned bazaar.

Discover the hot springs of Sarein.

Transfer to this city, visiting the Mausoleum of Sheikh Safi Al-Din Ardabili en route. Arrive in Sarein for an overnight stay. Meaning Spring’s Outlet, Sareyn is the gateway to many tranquil mountain hot springs believed to have healing and pain relief properties.

Transfer to the shores of the Caspian.

Arrive at the seaside city of Bandar-e Anzali for a two night stay. During your stay visit the nearby city of Rasht, also called the City of Rain. Explore the winding roads and local markets of Masuleh, one of the oldest and longest inhabited villages in Iran.

Return to Tehran.

On your way visit the Gilan Rural Heritage Museum, an open-air museum depicting rural and ancestral life. Continue to Qazvin and visit the Seljuk Friday Mosque and the Holy Shrine of Shahzadeh Hussain. Arrive in Tehran for an overnight stay.

Transfer to the international airport for your flight home.

Arrive in Dublin.
