From the tree-lined boulevards and elegant historic mansions of Pondicherry to the mammoth forts and tombs of Hyderabad, you will be amazed by the diversity and historic influences of this incredible state of Southern India. We’ve made it that bit extra-special with a luxury beach experience on the Andaman Islands, where you can relax and unwind on the sandy shores of the Bay of Bengal.

Trip Overview

Depart from Dublin to Delhi and onwards to Hyderabad.

Your private driver will be waiting to transfer you to your historic hotel for your two-night stay. We’ll introduce you to the wonders of Hyderabad on a city tour, visiting sites like the impressive Golconda Fort and Qutab Shahi Tombs.

Depart for Madurai, one of the oldest cities in India.

We’ve arranged a two-night stay packed with experiences like a rickshaw ride through the old town and a guided tour of its temples and palaces. Admire the impressive architecture and an insightful performance at the Thirumalai Nayak Palace.

Transfer to Dindigul.

With a history dating back to over 2,000 years, your two-night stay will be spent exploring ancient landmarks at your leisure. Highlights include Dindigul Fort, St Joseph’s Church and Sri Abirami Amman Temple.

Drive to the town of Karaikudi, famed for its local cuisine, architecture and temples.

We’ve arranged a guided tour of the mansions of Chettinad as well as a cookery class at The Bangala, the perfect way to learn about authentic Chettinad cuisine and local dishes.

Transfer to the French-colonial city of Pondicherry.

Spend three nights in the heart of the French Quarter and enjoy a guided city tour. After visiting landmarks and the museum, stroll through the French Quarter and admire elegant colonial mansions, picturesque parks and tree-lined boulevards.

Drive to Chennai, stopping off at Mahabalipuram enroute.

After visiting the temples and monolithic shrines of Mahabalipuram, arrive at your luxury accommodation where you’ll spend the night. In the morning, depart for Port Blair and board the ferry to Havelock Island.

Arrive in the beautiful Andaman Islands.

Spend four nights along the sandy shores of the Bay of Bengal. Bask in the sun, dive into the marine-rich waters and kayak through the mangroves. Catch up on well-deserved relaxation and recharge your batteries in the tropical island paradise.

Transfer to the international airport for your flight home.

Arrive in Dublin.
