British Columbia & Vancouver

At OROKO we are committed to helping you create beautiful moments that will last a lifetime. With us, every trip is bespoke and tailored to you. A trip to the Great Bear Rainforest is just one example of what we can offer. This vast wilderness is filled with 1,000-year-old cedars, waterfalls flowing down moss-covered mountains into granite-dark waters and glacier-cut fjords. Spend eight nights exploring the rainforest, with just the right amount of time at the end to relax in downtown Vancouver.

Following your arrival into Vancouver, we will transfer you by floatplane to the wilderness of Nimmo Bay, where your adventure begins. At the base of Mt. Stevens, your lodge is nestled into the old growth forests of British Columbia’s Great Bear Rainforest. In one of the most remote places on the planet, you’ll spend four magical nights following killer whales as they swim in Johnstone Strait, ocean kayaking on the mainland fjords, and discovering the alpine meadows and diamond blue glaciers of the Coast Range. Where the local culture has a vibrant presence, spend your evenings listening to native guides as they share their legends and traditions.

From Nimmo Bay, we will take you by seaplane over the breath-taking scenery, into the heart of the Great Bear Rainforest. From Great Bear Lodge, your four-night grizzly bear experience begins. In the early morning, you and your guide will follow the trail of the grizzly, through the forest to the best viewing sites. In late Summer, the annual salmon run attracts the largest number of bears to the coastal inlets. Witness the spectacle of salmon leaping out of the water into the mouths of eagerly awaiting grizzly bears.
